Fifteen Advocate Aurora Health hospitals named to U.S. News & World Report's ‘Best Hospitals’ list

Milwaukee, Wisc. & Downers Grove, Ill. — Recognized for delivering exceptional patient care, 15 Advocate Aurora Health hospitals have been named to the U.S. News & World Report 2018-2019 Best Hospitals list, announced today.

Of those, 11 hospitals are distinguished as Best Regional Hospitals and two obtained elite national ranking: Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisc. and Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove, Ill. For the second consecutive year, Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center claimed the top spot in Southeastern Wisconsin and second in the state.

Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center, Aurora Medical Center Grafton and Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisc., ranked in the Top 10 in Wisconsin. Four Advocate sites ranked in the Top 10 in Illinois: Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Ill., Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital, Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Ill., and Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill.

U.S. News & World Report separately named Advocate Children's Hospital in June to the prestigious Best Children's Hospitals national rankings, bringing the total number of recognized Advocate Aurora Health hospitals to 16 this year.

In 2018-19, U.S. News & World Report recognized: Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wisc.; Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, Ill.; Advocate Christ Medical Center; Advocate Children's Hospital with campuses in Oak Lawn and Park Ridge, Ill.; Advocate Good Samaritan; Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Ill.; Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, Ill.; Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Ill.; Advocate Lutheran General Hospital; Aurora Medical Center in Grafton, Wisc.; Aurora Memorial Medical Center in Sheboygan, Wisc.; Aurora Medical Center in Summit, Wisc.; Aurora Medical Center in West Allis, Wisc.; Advocate Sherman Hospital; Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center; and Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago, Ill.

For the 2018-19 rankings, U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. In the 16 specialty areas, 158 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty. In rankings by state and metro area, U.S. News recognized hospitals as high performing across multiple areas of care.
